An interactive leadership session for stepping into bigger roles, higher expectations, and greater stakes — and leading powerfully through it all.
How to lead powerfully as the stakes get higher
A 60-minute interactive session for leaders stepping into bigger roles, higher expectations, and greater stakes.
Maybe you’ve just landed the bigger role. Maybe you’re going after it. Or maybe you’re already expanding the scope and influence of the role you have.
Here’s where it gets interesting:
What if getting the opportunity you want requires you to show up in a new way—not just do more of what you’re already doing?
As your role gets bigger, so does the pressure to perform. There’s more visibility. More complexity. More at stake. More people to influence. More consequential decisions. And fewer situations where the answer is obvious.
The question isn’t simply whether you can handle more.
It’s how you want to operate when more is being asked of you.
Being powerful under pressure doesn’t mean having all the answers or projecting confidence no matter what. It means being able to see what’s happening clearly, recognize what’s happening in you, and have more choice in how you think, respond, decide, and lead when it matters.
And yet, most successful leaders spend far more time responding to what’s coming at them than stepping outside the action long enough to examine how they’re operating inside it.
That’s what we’ll do together.
I’m Dr. Susan Bernstein, founder of Powerful Under Pressure. I’ll facilitate a candid, highly interactive conversation that gives you something leaders rarely get enough of: Time to think deeply about yourself, the bigger role you’re in, pursuing, or creating, and how you want to show up as the stakes rise.
You’ll come away with:
That kind of self-awareness matters. Research has linked greater self-awareness with leadership effectiveness, stronger relationships, better decision-making, and career success. Yet organizational psychologist Tasha Eurich’s research suggests that while most people believe they’re self-aware, only about 10–15% actually meet the criteria.
This is a live, interactive event and will not be recorded. Participants who attend live will receive my Bigger Role Reflection, designed to help you continue the thinking after the session and apply what you discover to the real situations you’re navigating at work.
I look forward to welcoming you!
